A legacy of love.
Kaylia’s Opportunity honors a life by opening doors for others. Our story begins with family, and grows through community.
From her memory, a mission.
Kaylia’s Opportunity was founded in Baltimore, Maryland, by founder Kendric K. Player in memory of his sister, Kaylia Player.
Her memory is at the heart of our work. We carry her name forward with a commitment to empowering youth and young adults, strengthening our community, and raising awareness around domestic violence and mental health.
Meet our founder
Kendric K. Player, Founder. Kendric created Kaylia’s Opportunity to turn loss into hope, giving Baltimore’s youth and young adults the support, guidance, and opportunities every young person deserves.
A community where possibility grows.
We are a nonprofit organization offering mentoring, GED training, jobs and career readiness, skilled trades training, a Creative Arts Hub, housing support, and mental health services. Our focus is on the connections and resources that help young people build positive futures.
With compassion at our center, we believe in meeting people where they are and reminding them that their future matters.
A brighter future starts with us.
Your time, your voice, your support. Every act of kindness matters.
